Christine Nguyen was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She attended college in Hillsboro. Currently, Nguyen lives in Coos Bay and works as a pharmacist.

In this interview, Nguyen shares about her life growing up in Oregon. She begins by talking about how her mother was sponsored to come from Vietnam to Portland after 1975. She also recalls memories of her childhood neighborhood and the local Vietnamese market. Nguyen then goes on to talk about her career working as a pharmacist and describes a day in her life. She also discusses the Vietnamese community, the political and economic issues they face, and some of the differences she sees between the United States and Vietnam.
